报告摘要:

This seminar explores the pivotal role of multidisciplinary computational modelling in advancing innovation across materials science, energy systems, mechanical engineering, and structural design. It will present state-of-the-art progress in computational materials design and innovative inverse problem-solving methodologies. The session will further highlight breakthroughs in topology optimisation, illustrating how advanced computational techniques enable the development of lightweight, high-performance structures optimised for additive manufacturing. Key applications of machine learning—ranging from accelerated materials discovery and weld defect detection to machine health monitoring and advanced battery modelling—will be discussed as catalysts for shorter innovation cycles and enhanced predictive precision. Participants will gain critical insights into how these multidisciplinary strategies are redefining engineering solutions and driving transformative impacts across both academia and industry.
